The dollar<\/strong> climbed to a two-week high in today\u2019s Asian session, despite the ADP national employment<\/strong> figure dropping for January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a monetary level, Fed Board Governor Cook stated her worries for inflationary pressures rather than a weakness of inflationary pressures which was hawkish, supporting the greenback ahead of the release of the US employment report<\/strong> for January tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ECB\u2019s and BoE\u2019s interest rate decisions<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today we highlight the release of ECB\u2019s<\/strong> et BoE\u2019s<\/strong> interest rate decisions<\/strong>. Both banks are expected to remain on hold, hence market attention is expected to be shifted towards their respective forward guidance<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We suspect that both banks may sound a bit more dovish <\/strong>than what the markets expect<\/a> and if so, we may see both the EUR <\/strong>et GBP <\/strong>retreating.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alphabet surpasses market expectations<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Market attention remains on US stock markets<\/a> as the earnings season is up and running. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alphabet<\/strong> released its report yesterday<\/a>, surpassing market expectations<\/strong> for the EPS<\/strong> et revenue<\/strong> figures and also announcing that capital spending<\/strong> in 2026 could double, cloud business<\/strong> booms, with both points possibly supporting its share price<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amazon\u2019s earnings report next<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Amazon<\/strong> invested around $125 billion mostly in its AI<\/strong> et data center<\/strong> infrastructure, while at the same time laid-off around 30k employees in the past four months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today we highlight the release of its earnings report and besides the company\u2019s EPS ($1.96 expected) and revenue ($211-212 billion expected) figures, market may also focus on the company\u2019s forward guidance especially about its cloud business<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitcoin\u2019s falling below 72k<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile in the crypto market Bitcoin\u2019s<\/strong> price dropped below 72k despite some earlier stabilisation and has now erased all the gains <\/strong>made since US President Trump\u2019s<\/strong> election (Nov24). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The renewal of the bearish tendencies <\/strong>for the crypto king was blamed on a reallocation of investments <\/strong>which we tend to agree with, yet the wider risk-off sentiment<\/strong> may have played a big part in Bitcoin\u2019s weakening, given its riskier nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charts to keep an eye out<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EUR\/USD<\/u> <\/strong>seems to have stabilised between the 1.1915 (R1) resistance line<\/strong> and the 1.1665 (S1) support level<\/strong>. We tend to maintain a bias for a sideways motion<\/strong> of the pair <\/strong>given also that the RSI indicator<\/strong> is running along the reading of 50, implying a rather indecisive market, yet ECB\u2019s interest rate decision may alter the pair\u2019s direction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should the bulls <\/strong>take over we may see EUR\/USD breaking the 1.1915 (R1) resistance line and start aiming for the 1.2115 (R2) resistance level. Should the bears <\/strong>take over, we may see the pair breaking the 1.1665 (S1) support line, thus paving the way for the 1.1465 (S2) support barrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BTC\/USD<\/u> <\/strong>dropped yesterday breaking the 74560 (R1) support line now turned to resistance. We maintain a bearish outlook<\/strong> for the crypto\u2019s price yet note the possibility of a correction higher<\/strong> as it is in oversold <\/strong>territory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should the bearish outlook<\/strong> be maintained we see the 66750 (S1) support level as the next possible stop for the bears, while for a bullish outlook<\/strong> to be reinstated the bar is high, as\u00a0 we would require the crypto\u2019s outlook to reverse the losses of the past two weeks by breaking above the 88000 (R3) resistance base.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
